The company features the school in the new 2013 edition of its annual college guide, "The Best 377 Colleges" and "Best in the Northeast" section in its website feature, "2013 Best Colleges: Region by Region." Only about 15 percent of America's 2,500 four-year colleges and two Canadian colleges are profiled in The Princeton Review's flagship college guide. According to the Princeton Review, their "regional best" colleges constitute only 25 percent of the nation's four-year institutions. The Fiske Guide to College 2013 rates Manhattanville as one of the top small colleges in the country. It lists Manhattanville as "strong in... art, education, and psychology." Manhattanville College was also named to the 2012 Princeton Review Guide to 322 Green Colleges. The Princeton Review first created this one-of-a-kind resource for college-bound students in 2010 with the U.S. Green Building Council, which is best known for developing the LEED standard for green building certification. In the fall of 2010, USGBC launched its Center for Green Schools to increase its efforts to drive change in how campuses and schools are designed, constructed and operated so that all educational facilities can enhance student-learning experiences. The Newsweek Daily Beast included Manhattanville College on its list of Best Schools for Foreign Students 2012, ranking the college 12th nationwide. The Daily Beast gave Manhattanville an "A-" ranking in diversity. In a "Top 25" listing which included many Ivy League universities, Manhattanville was the only New York-metropolitan area school included in the rankings and one of two New York State schools listed. In its 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges, U.S. News & World Report now recognizes Manhattanville College among the top 50 master's level colleges and universities in the North. Manhattanville College was included in Peterson's new guidebook, Cool Colleges 101. The book profiles more than 240 colleges and includes campus photos, fast facts and, a cohesive description of the school, including contact information. The descriptions focus on what students want to know about campus life and serve as a guide to the culture and lifestyle on campuses throughout the country.
